About the author

Charlotte Greig was a British novelist, playwright, music journalist, singer and songwriter who lived in Cardiff, Wales. She graduated with an MA in Intellectual History from Sussex University, and began her career freelancing as a writer and editor for a variety of magazines and newspapers, including NME and the Guardian. In 1989 she wrote her first book; the first of many including Horrible Histories and Twentieth-Century Crime Fiction. She also wrote a number of musical theatre pieces, radio plays and folk music albums and was known as a presenter of music features and reviews on BBC radio.
