About this eBook

Enjoy this rock star romance from steamy romance author Morgana Bevan, the first in the True Platinum Series...

✔️ A Cinnamon Roll. British Rock Star

✔️ A Love Resistant, Jaded Heroine

✔️ He Falls First

✔️ A Ride-Or-Die Best Friend

✔️ And a hard-won one-night stand that doesn’t end there.

Rockstars don't chase, they get chased. Until he met her.

Ryan Evans was meant to be a fling. Men don’t change and I don’t do serious. Especially not with rock stars.

Once a player, always a player. And all men, in my experience, are. It's like they can't help themselves.

Usually, that reminder is enough. I dismiss most before I even meet them. Especially the hot ones.

But now Ryan, lead singer of Rhiannon, wants more. He keeps turning up, tempting me with his kisses and wearing me down with his charm, insisting that this time it's different. That he's different, and I'm the one he can't forget.

Against every reason not to, I'm starting to believe that maybe he's right.

Took a long time to get from point A to point B. I got tired of reading a couple of times, unable to take the effusion of words, but the basic plot was so compelling I just couldn't quit. I would caution to have a good deal of patience while tackling this novel but I do recommend it, though I'm usually not much for rockstar romances. This has the frenetic pace I typically associate with the subgenre as well as the great egos (and related insecurities they cover.) But the characters manage to be lovable despite it all. The plot borders on melodramatic while the writer chooses words which bring the situation to life but never detracts from it. If it were turned into me as an assignment, I'd rate it a solid. B+.

I have admit that Rockstar Romances are usually not my go to genre but after reading Morgana’s debut book (Between Takes) I was intrigued by Alys and the brief glimpse we got of Ryan and I was enthralled with their story. I loved both Alys and Ryan equally, which is pretty strange for me as I normally have a favourite but with these characters I fell in love them both. As you would except with a rockstar romance, our main male character is flawed but in a way that makes you want to take him by the shoulders and wrap your arms around him. As a raising musician, it was a breathe of fresh air to see a shyness and awkwardness to this rockstar, it just makes you fall in love with him a little bit more. Just like our male character was flawed so too was Alys. Her need to protect herself from heartbreak was something that I could totally relate to, which made it so rewarding to see her open up through the book and let Ryan in. I loved that fact that she made Ryan work for her heart but also to see her character evolve into a more confident woman was a pleasure to read. Together, the chemistry between the couple was most certainly steamy and well written. The interaction between the characters never felt forced or rushed and I think because of Morgana’s attention to detail made their relationship more relatable. I love relationships that feel genuine. Overall, this was a fantastic book. It gave all the steaminess that I would except from a rockstar and his leading lady and the story line was well written with a high level of detail that made me feel like I was salsa dancing with Alys or stranding front row at Ryan's concerts. I seriously cant wait to read more from The True Platinum Series.

I was an ARC reader for Chasing Alys (True Platinum Series Book 1) for by Morgana Bevan. My review is based on my own opinions, and I was not coerced or compensated for it. Will Ryan spin his way into her heart, can she see herself with a rockstar or will their attraction burn out. Back in Cardiff having a break from her job Alys and her best friend venture out on the town. Alys loves a good swing dance lesson and spending time with her bestie seemed like a perfect night. Emily wanted them too see her favourite band Rhiannon but the night didn't turn out as they both planned. What Alys didn't expect was to run into a man like Ryan. Not knowing who he was she thought him to be devilishly handsome with a great personality, and she kept running into him at various places and he wouldn't stop chasing her for a date. He intrigued her, with each encounter the hotter the sexual tension became. The plot was credible and extremely well written. Through detailed, believable descriptions, I became emotionally linked to the story, standing in the crowd, listening to him perform or being on the TV set with her, I felt apart of their journey. I loved the references throughout... the movie Coyote Ugly (being a favourite of mine) and the mention of Bryan Adams, gave me a chance to connect. I gained a sense of their depth, vulnerabilities, strengths, weaknesses and loyalties. Despite Ryan’s persistence, you could see the internal battle Alys experienced and that the attraction scared her. He wouldn't give up. She had built walls around her heart to keep people at arms length and to protect herself from heartache. Will she dare let Ryan in? Will he be able to break the walls and convince her to give him a chance? Can she face her own fears when a problem arises between them or will fear destroy what could be? The sex was intense. Morgana Bevan's writing has an effortlessness to it. I found myself lost in the story, a break from today's reality. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series and welcome the chance to read more of Morgana's work. A definite must read.
