In Children of the City, David Nasaw re-creates this period in our social history from the vantage point of the children who grew up then. David Nasaw is an associate professor of history at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York, and author of Schooled to Order. He lives in New York City with his wife, Dinitia Smith, and their twin sons, Daniel and Peter.
