This seems to be a generic training book for dogs in general with the words "chow chow" thrown in for dexterity. Its not a horrible book, per se, but it is DEFINITELY not geared toward the new chow chow owner - a breed entirely different from the rest. For example: chows do not necessarily like to sleep on anything resembling a bed - they prefer the floor (primarily for the coolness of it) but this book says to buy a big soft bed - the dog will love you for it. Also, to the author, the word THROUGHOUT is not spelled 'threw out' (page 39 - "twice as long as people threw out the day and night") Yikes.
