4.5 Stars for The Accidental Fiance (Love a lottery #1) What a great start to the new series from Christi Barth. In book one we get to know Alex Kirkland and Sydney Darrow as well as meeting the secondary characters who I’m sure will all get their own stories in future books in this series. Alex was given a lottery ticket by his sister Amelia with the prize being a run down Inn in a small town, imagine his surprise when they actually win the Three Oaks Inn. Alex, Amelia and his best friends Everleigh and Teague all move in with the hope of building a successful business. Another surprise happens when Sydney a local girl asks Alex to be her pretend fiancée and the decision Alex makes will change his life forever....... This is an entertaining read that ticked my boxes, the characters are adorable, the banter is witty abd I’m excited to see who’s story we get next.

4 Star review of The Accidental Fiance (Love Lottery #1) by Christi Barth Having read several books by Christi Barth I couldn't wait to read The Accidental Fiance. I was intrigued when I read the blurb for this series and after reading book one, I am excited to see where this series goes. Alex Kirkland is the leader of the group and it was fitting that his story is the first. I really enjoyed the story Ms. Barth wove about Sydney Darrow and Alex. I love the relationship that Alex has with his sister Amelia, and their friends Everleigh and Teague and their journey to make Three Oaks Inn a success. After agreeing to be Sydney's pretend fiancee, Alex has no idea that that decision would change his life. There was some miss communication and secrets between them but the chemistry is undeniable and it was fun to watch them comes to terms with their feelings. The secondary characters were easy to relate to and I love Sydney’s grandmother, she is a hoot. Being set in a small town, you know people are going to be all up in one another's business and that added to the story.

Christi Barth’s first installment in the Love Lottery series, Accidental Fiancé, has set a pretty high bar for the remainder of stories in the series. If the remaining installments are as top notch as Accidental Fiancé, I’m calling the entire series a sure fire winner. With a rapidly moving storyline, and rife with witty banter, phenomenal repartee...timing is everything...along with a clever premise that’ll still bring a few surprises as the layers of the story are pealed away. I literally couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough and finished the story in its entirety in one sitting...to me that’s the earmark of an author who knows her reader audience, and just how to deliver a class act of a story. I’m already anticipating just how much I’ll enjoy the second story in the series. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
