For a free book this was a delightful twist on the classic Cinderella story. Both main characters are flawed, yet endearing, and the story drew me in immediately. I love how tough Miranda was and not a shrinking violet, as they say. I plan to now buy several books from this new-to-me author and spend my weekend lost in another historical fairytale.

This book gets read fast! Couple of days and all the spare time you have. I appreciate how the sanctity of marriage is preserved as is very rare too find anywhere in literature and cinema of late....

I enjoy the plot of the Cinderella-like story. Haven't been reading much of this genre but I find this great.

Christine Merrill wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember. During a stint as a stay-at-home-mother, she decided it was time to “write that book.” She could set her own hours and would never have to wear pantyhose to work!
