This story is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, angsty, enemies-to-lovers romance starting a new series. I enjoyed Nessa’s determination to start to have her own choices. I enjoyed Cian’s support of her emerging independence. I appreciated the realism of her response when her abusive father confronted her again. I enjoyed the secondary character interactions and the immersion of Nessa in a family. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

These Dublin Kings books just keep getting better and better. If you have not started this series then you really need to do yourself a favor and get on that. Cian and Nessa's journey is both sweet and hard and I loved every minute of it. It was a quick read because I didn't want to stop and the end came too soon. This book has everything a mafia romance should have. Hard but soft for her male lead, and a feisty but sweet heroine. I loved it.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Cian and Nessa’s journey. Nessa’s dad has been spiralling out of control after her mom’s death, and now has a gambling problem, which is where Cian wins her and her virginity. Cian takes Nessa to his family home and promises to return her when the debt is settled. Nessa comes out of her shell, and she is feisty, and not afraid to stand up for herself. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and action packed, with romance, emotions, humor,
