About this ebook

A hidden legacy. A shared destiny.

All Princess Rika wants is to be a moonburner like her mother, but her powers are nowhere to be found. When a fleet of dark ships appears on the horizon, Rika is convinced this is the perfect opportunity to force her magic to manifest. But the ships bring more than Rika bargained for—an invasion of soul-eating monsters intent on consuming all she holds dear.

Overwhelmed and outmatched, Rika finds an unlikely ally in Vikal—a dangerous man enslaved to the monsters that killed his family and ravaged his homeland. Thrown together in a desperate attempt to evade the soul-eaters, they begin to realize they have more in common than they ever thought possible. Alone, their lands and people are doomed to fall to the encroaching darkness. But together, they have a prayer of a chance to save their worlds. And to find something more in the process.

Don't miss this final book in the Moonburner Cycle! Can be read as a stand-alone novel.

I actually and genuinely liked the series. Now i want to see what had really happened to colum and the general. U know i would like to hear their story as well. I would like to be introduced to a new type of burning too. Shadow burning. Even the light has shadows. It would be a big hit

I loved the first two novels so much and wanted more of this world and these characters but I honestly couldn't imagine what could be next. But I absolutely loved this novel. It was engrossing and had me at the edge of my seat. I also cried multiple times throughout. I feel like any novel that can get such a strong emotional response from anyone has done its job. There were times where I laughed out loud at Rika and her antics, or shook my head in disbelief or sadness at what the characters were facing. This novel really had it all and I feel like this is one of the best trilogies I have ever read. I could say so much more about this novel, but with this being the third novel... I wouldn't want to spoil this incredibly journey for anyone

This book is the best book I have read of this series. It keeps you on edge right from the beginning.

About the author

Claire Luana grew up in Seattle reading everything she could get her hands on and writing every chance she could. Eventually, adulthood won out, and she turned her writing talents to more scholarly pursuits, going to work as a commercial litigation attorney.

While continuing to practice law, Claire decided to return to her roots and try her hand once again at creative writing. She has written and published four fantasy series: the Moonburner Cycle, the Confectioner Chronicles, the Knights of Caerleon, co-written with Jesikah Sundin, and The Faerie Race trilogy, co-written with J.A. Armitage.

She lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two dogs. In her (little) remaining spare time, she loves to hike, travel, binge-watch CW shows, and of course, fall into a good book.
