Kathryn Anderson-Levitt is Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, Education, Division of Social Research Methods, Professor Emerita of Anthropology, University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a former editor of Anthropology and Education.
Elsie Rockwell, whose nationality is Mexican, is a full professor and researcher emerita of anthropology and history of education at the Departmento de Investigaciones Educativas, Centro de Investigacion y de Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politecnico Nacional, in Mexico City. She has conducted fieldwork and historical research in Mexico and France, and has advised and trained ethnographers of education in many countries in Latin America.
