About the author

Confucius (551–479 BCE) was a Chinese philosopher, political figure, teacher, and founder of Confucianism. He was known for his popular aphorisms, which were posthumously collected in TheAnalects. His teachings emphasized strong family loyalty and structure and high educational standards. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential teachers in Chinese history.
