About the author

Writing poetry brings you closer to people. It makes you appreciate nature and realize its unspoken surroundings. Ryzal's poetry gives hope to those who want to love and feel loved. Though idealistic, his work is written absent of cynicism and full of anticipation. Blessed to have embraced love at a tender age, Ryzal Marzuki started writing poetry and love notes as a teenager, in constant search of the perfect love. Consumed has taken him full circle, in search of its meaning, on the surface and in-depth. Written over the span of 12 years, he found that each experience endured, taught him a lesson. A deeper understanding of the consequences, of being and falling in Love. He is often misunderstood and prefers to be in the company of close friends. He travels frequently for work, and when he can, he will find time to write. He enjoys running, cycling, reading and watching rugby. He constantly aims to improve his livelihood and lifestyle by indulging in new personal ventures. From being vegetarian to climbing Everest, hes run worldwide marathons and completed triathlons. Ryzal currently lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at Beloit College, Wisconsin with a double MBA at National University of Singapore and University of California Los Angeles. Written by Lira for Ryzal.
