The body of this collection covers current perspectives in the digital age, from the application of the Berne Convention, to time shifting and intermediary copyright liability, as well as perspectives from developing and developed countries covering laws, user rights, open access, government use of copyright material and the use of the criminal law to proscribe copyright infringement.

Brian Fitzgerald holds the Frederick A. Krehbiel II Chair in Innovation in Global Business and Technology at the University of Limerick, where he is also Vice President of Research.
John Gilchrist earned his law degree from Catholic University. In addition to his practice, he serves as a legislative counsel to a number of statewide associations and is a lobbyist for the Ohio General Assembly. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
