But war is evil and complex, and by the time it begins to wind its way through Southwest Missouri, one of these men will be dead, and Cordia will find herself betrothed to a man she loathes. Author ID Johnson grew up in Lamar, Missouri. Her interest in the U.S. Civil War began with a visit to Wilson’s Creek battlefield as a young child. She has spent her lifetime studying this great American conflict. She holds a Bachelors in History from Central Missouri State University and a Masters in Education from Dallas Baptist University.
