About the author

Of Aboriginal descent, Corey Basalt lives and studies in the United States. A student of anthropology and sociology, her writings reflect the deeply intuitive understanding Ms. Basalt possesses of the human condition. Her family of origin, tracing it's ancestry to unbounded broad deserted plains, stark seacoasts and uninhabited mountain peaks, leaves indelibly it's traces on the construction of her inner vision and perspective of the world. Time spent in the early preparation of her father's written journals and the familial responsibility, usually due sons, for passing the oral tradition known to Western man as 'song lines' was uniquely Ms. Basalt's to learn, secure, maintain and ultimately pass on. In honor of and respect for the Judaic European tradition of law and Talmudic study, Ms. Basalt will attend law school in the United States, next year.
