About this ebook

A compelling insider account by the nephew of a renowned prosperity preacher on the perils of greed and the power of the true gospel.

Costi Hinn—nephew of the world-famous televangelist, Benny Hinn—had a front-row seat to the inner workings of the prosperity gospel: "In one sermon I heard growing up, my uncle taught us that if we wanted God to do something for us, we needed to do something for him."

In God, Greed, and the (Prosperity) Gospel he gives a chilling account of how prosperity preachers exploit the poor and needy and what it was like to grow up in one of the world's most powerful prosperity dynasties. As Costi began to question the lifestyle he was living and look for an answer to the injustice he saw, he found himself on a journey that eventually led him to abandon the family faith in favor of the overwhelming truth about the real Jesus Christ.

This is Costi's story of escape from a false teaching that has ensnared millions. And it’s a call to the church to be salt and light throughout the earth and to stand up for the truth when Jesus Christ is being falsely represented as a commodity.

If you want to learn how to reach those caught in deception, or if you've been confused in the past by the insidiously blurred lines between prosperity theology and the true gospel, this book will bolster your faith and encourage your own journey toward the Truth.

Finished explains how Christians are supposed stand up for truth while it seems like in today's age most Christians are lacking in biblical discernment and allowing rampant heretical teaching be taught in their churchs. He also does a good job of explaining in the last chapter how we are to reach the deceived. This something many Christians including me need to understand, since we so often get to hostile in rebuking and correcting. We need balance.

This book has mutiple uses for those who have been caught up in a false gospel. It also, is a great tool to give to those who are living in deception. It is honest, clearly written and doesn't side step what the bibles states about what happens eternally, to those who don't repent from preaching a false gospel, along with the lay person. Jesus stated many times, warning us that these days would come and many would fall away from the true faith, believing in a false annoitings and false christs. The time is now! And how should we true believers be? This book gives us a very biblical model for loving our enemies. Don't be fooled; false gospel followers think we are their enemy. I honestly have struggled with loving and witnessing truth in love. I now know prayer is my best weapon. And praying for those that have reviled you and rejected you for His name sake is the hardest. I need my heart changed to love them and not to forget.....I was deceived once as well, but by His grace and mercy, I was delivered from the snare of the fowler.
