About this ebook

They call him Casanova.

But can this charming devil of a cowboy teach a good girl how to change her ways?

I'm Daisy King—a small town preacher's daughter, born and bred in Holiday, Texas. A girl who's used to having a lot of balls in the air. Keeping tabs on my slightly flighty grandmother? No problem. Handling the honky-tonk's first ever Chili Cook-Off? In the bag. Vamping it up to charm a would-be developer into leaving Holiday, Texas alone? Um...I might need a hand with that one.

Enter Presley Walker: Holiday's own Casanova rancher and the perfect tutor for a good girl looking to go bad. He's got charm in spades, and he's always seemed like a terrible idea waiting to happen. But when he agrees to work with me to save our beloved hometown, it's hard to ignore the chemistry between us. We may be polar opposites, but our hearts seem ready to melt in this Texas heat...

Very cute and funny small-town story about strait-laced preacher's daughter Dixie and ladies man Presley (love the name as I'm a big Elvis fan!). Dixie always seems to be trying to do what's right for everyone, even to her detriment. Her parents are busy and so it falls to Dixie to move in with and (try!) and look after her grandmother, who is one of the best characters in the story, she's a little terror and determined to enjoy her life which was great! Dixie works for Presley's sister (Charlie) in her bar and when Charlie is unexpectedly called away Dixie steps into her shoes to help run their new chilli cook-off festival, with Presley organising the bands etc. Dixie has had a crush on Presley for years, but feels he's definitely no good for her as he's a real charming love 'em and leave 'em sort of guy. But Presley is feeling it's time for him to settle down these days and he has definitely got a soft spot for Dixie, and as they are thrown together in organising the festival they get closer and closer. There is also a spanner thrown in the works when there are rumors of someone buying the land next to The Rambling Rose and turning it into a big country music venue, which of course would ruin The Rose's business and change the town of Holiday. So Presley and Dixie (reluctantly!) start investigating and try to stop it before it even starts. An enjoyable story set around a town festival with very amusing characters, and some cute animals. Dixie was definitely too straight and narrow to start with, but Presley managed to loosen her up by the end of the book. Great fun with a happy ending. I do enjoy the town of Holiday. This is the third in this series, I've read the second book (Cowboy Christmas Jubilee) and really enjoyed it too.

Book three is this series centers around Dixie King and Presley Walker. Dixie is the preacher’s daughter, always doing the right thing ,following the rules and not a one night stand girl. She currently is working at local bar, Rambling Rose, keeping the “handy men” at arms length. But that doesn’t mean that she isn’t attracted to Presley. Presley is the local playboy and brother of the owner of the bar. When Charlie, the bar’s owner has an emergency and needs to leave town to help her husband, she asks both Presley and Dixie not only to run the bar but also take care of the Chili Cook-off taking place in her establishment. That’s when the fun and action start . These two opposites are like magnets in their attraction. Don’t they say opposites attract??? An entertaining plot , filled with the townspeople, some humor, family and of course romance. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Sourcebooks. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

5 Stars Review by: Alysia Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Cowboy Charming was a quick easy read about a small town. Presley and Dixie are left to handle, The Rose, a local bar, when Presley’s sister has to take an emergency trip out of town to help her husband. Which wouldn’t be hard... if they could get along. It doesn’t help when it’s also the first annual, two weekends long, chili cook-off. While Presley and Dixie are trying to manage the bar and the fiasco also known as the chili cook-off, they find out a dirty little secret. Someone is buying the land next door and planning to build an amusement park with a bar, that would put The Rose out of business for good. Dixie has crushed on Presley forever but believes he is a ladies man that doesn’t have a serious bone in his body. Presley has always thought that Dixie is too uptight and needs to let loose and live a little. Neither person thinks a relationship will work. When left with the bar to manage, they are forced to spend a lot of time together. What they thought they knew about each other might not be true... I thought this book was light-hearted and hilarious. The stunts Dixie’s gram pulls are so freaking funny, it had me laughing out loud! It was so cute!! It had a bit of a mystery of sorts and a tad bit of action. It’s written in the third person.
