About this ebook

This study focuses on the role of the tabernacle in the earliest Christian sources, those of the NT. The task of this book is to discern what the tabernacle, rather than the temple, meant to early Christians, and why they used tabernacle imagery as they did. The results of this study are intended to contribute to a clearer understanding of a number of important NT texts and to a broader discussion of early Christian attitudes towards Israel's cult and the use of cultic language in Christian theology.
