I was super excited about reading yet another book of the 7 Brides For 7 Soldiers series, specially this one because it was written by Cristin Harber. Noah in the cover didn’t do much for me (he’s so much more handsome in my imagination), but if you judge cover by their looks, don’t let this one fool you. It is really good. Noah Coleman is a navy SEAL through and through. He was happy as one, dedicated to his career and didn’t see himself as anything else. He didn’t envision himself in a relationship, and much less with a family. But life has unexpected surprises, and his dear cousin, the one she considered a sister, dies leaving him with the responsibility of raising her daughter Bella. Imagine what such an event could do to a man’s life. Fortunately, he didn’t have to figure it all out on his own. Teagan Shaw is Bella’s school counselor, she also happens to be a friend of Noah’s late cousin and the mother of Bella’s best friend, Will. She happens to be a single mother who Noah feels immediately attracted to. She’s a great person and human being. I love how grounded she’s portrait and how very centered she is. But it wouldn’t be interesting if things were simple. Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other from minute one. They both feel a connection that it's almost tangible through the pages of the book. But Noah isn’t the only one in a complicated situation. He is learning to be a father, and raising a gifted daughter, while Teagan is also raising a boy completely on her own. ‘Cause her boy’s father is not at all interested in Will, not even when he unexpectedly shows his face for the first time since the five year old was born. I thought it was smart of them both to stop and think things through before then jumped into a relationship. It was the very paternty thing to do. Even if Noah was ready to get all in (as I did), Teagan was the voice of reason. Noah didn’t even completely gotten his head around his cousin’s death and didn’t have much clue of how to raise Bella. He was learning as he went and relied a lot on his family, friends and Teagan. It was good that she told him they shouldn’t rush into things, even if she did it because she was also insecure. Eventually it is bigger than them, and there’s a series of events that bring them finally together. However there’s a series of things that they need to go through regarding Bella’s mother’s death and Will’s father. I loved that Noah and Teagan got their happily ever after. I also enjoyed the little participation that other characters from the rest of the series made. I’m really enjoying how all of these amazing authors are giving us one great series.

I loved Noah he is one AWESOME uncle. When it came time to come home and take care of his niece Bella, he dropped everything and did just that. He is so out of his comfort zone yet he is willing to learn. Cristin Harber had me laughing at some of the things Noah did trying to take care of Bella, needless to say he went through a lot of growing pains. Teagan is very leery about Noah taking care of Bella and offers to help him however she can. In my opinion Cristin Harber did a good job of portraying Noah's struggles with adapting to civilian life and with figuring out raising Bella. I thought Cristin Harber did a good job of throwing in suspense into the mix. The romance there and how it grew. I loved this book, Cristin Harber did not disappoint me. In my opinion this book was the best in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers Series.

5 Star Review of Noah (7 Brides For 7 Soldiers #6) by Cristin Harber This book packs an emotional punch from the first page. Once a Seal always a Seal, or so Noah Coleman has always believed; that is until tragedy and an unexpected twist changes the course of his life forever. When Noah’s cousin Lainey is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he finds out that she wants him to raise her daughter Bella, who will be an orphan once her mother dies. Elementary school guidance councillor Teagan Shaw was not only a friend of Lainey’s but is the mother of Bella’s best friend Will. She loves Bella as if she were her own and has been helping look after her since Lainey died whilst Noah was on deployment. Still reeling from Lainey’s death, Noah has returned to raise Bella and this is where the fun begins. When he meets Teagan and Will, he sees in them the love and friendship that they both have for Bella and when Teagan comes to his rescue with dinner on night one, he realises just how out of his depth and for a Navy Seal that is not acceptable. He has no idea how to raise a 5 year old, let alone one who is so gifted. Even though he has researched parenting blogs, reality still crashes in and he wonders if he can do this. Teagan is wary of Noah’s abilities to care for Bella so their initial meeting is stilted. Despite themselves Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other. Will they act on the mutual chemistry which seems to sizzle when they are together, or will they deny the obvious? The interaction between Noah and Bella touched my heart as well as the beautiful friendship that Bella has with Will which was absolutely heart warming. This was an emotional read, bringing me to tears on occasion. The pain at coming to terms with both his and Bella’s loss of Lainey was palpable. Well written, this is a story that will draw you in and keep you glued until the end.
