This book is a continuation oF snake head. The main character is a teenager named alex who has no parents. I rated this book poorly Because of it's basic plot. The book reminded to much of skeleton key when I was hoping for the author to refresh the story line. It has the basic story that goes like wake up, get captured, get beat up, escape, kill some guys, kiss a girl, and then save the world . I also didn't like how they didn't introduce new characters. Not even the bad guys were new which was disappointing. It did have a few good parts like when the beginning started of with an explosion. I also enjoyed the action packed and dramatic ending. Sadly, I think the author could have made the book a lot better. Like when the car Is drownning with Alex and two other people in it, I think one person should have died to spice the book up. I Don't think the author is bad but maybe he should have taken a little more time.

When I first read the first few Alex Rider books, I honestly thought it brough original idea in the spy novel world, but I am disappointed in this one. It seems Mr.Horowitz is using the concept of a rich "egomaniac" far too much. For a fan of the series, it is predictable from beggining to end, but again, fans and I will still enjoy Alex's adventures. Though may get tired of the writing's repetivitiy.
