ERLE STANLEY GARDNER (1889-1970) was an American lawyer and author. Under his own name, he produced the immortal Perry Mason, and writing as A. A. Fair, Gardner created the matchless team of Bertha Cool and Donald Lam. He has written numerous novels and shorter pieces, as well as a series of non-fiction books, mostly narrations of his travels through Baja California and other regions in Mexico.
The best-selling American author of the 20th century at the time of his death in 1970, Erle Stanley Gardner and has sold over 150 million books.
