Walking away from Carly Shay was Ethan Barclay’s one good deed in life, but now secrets from their pasts have been revealed and Carly’s life is on the line in this spine tingling romantic suspense. Ethan Barclay only has one weakness and that is and always will be Carly Shay and the reader can’t help but get drawn into this romance as Ethan moves heaven and earth to protect her. Emotional turmoil and sizzling chemistry flows from every page with past demons hindering their trust and relationship as these strong compelling characters draw into their story and refuse to let go and the fast paced, smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Spine tingling excitement keeps the adrenaline pumping throughout the story as danger lurks around every corner and added tensions build as everyone makes assumptions about who did what where when and why while unexpected twists and surprises keep everyone on their toes. The well written scenes and details make it very easy for the reader to become completely engaged with the characters and their story while the emotional angst that is caused by this intense situation captures the heart. Well, if you have read the previous books in the Dark Obsession series then I’m sure you were waiting for Ethan’s story to be told just as I much as I was as secrets from the pasts have sure played havoc with his life. With every label – criminal, killer, monster – that was applied to him more mystery was added to Ethan because no matter what everyone said I was just sure that he was just misunderstood and while I won’t tell you one way or the other what he is other than sexy, I was in no way disappointed and I was completely enthralled with his and Carly’s story from beginning to end.

Awesome series. Would have liked to here Victor and faiths stories B-)
