About this ebook

 She intrigues him.

Gabe Talbot has never met a woman like Josie.

She’s beautiful but dresses like a man.

She’s elegant but cusses like a sailor.

And even though he watched his brother nearly die from heartache when he lost his wife, Gabe is breaking every rule he’s ever had about women.

He’s falling in love.

But Josie has other ideas. She’s never known a man who didn’t abandon his family, her own father included.

She’s independent. Capable. She doesn’t need to depend on anyone. And she doesn’t want a man who’s going to give her another broken heart.

When four lonely orphans enter the picture, Josie might finally accept his marriage proposal, but it’s her mixed-up, rebellious heart he’s determined to claim.

Book 3 in the Brides of Seattle series, together with the Talbot Brothers, does not disappoint. When the Talbots discover Josie and her mother and their living conditions, they right away move them into one of the houses they had built. Gabe is taken with Josie, but has made a vow never to give his heart again. He is upfront with Josie, telling her that he will court her and marry her, but that he is incapable of love. When they discover a small family of abandoned children, Josie realises that the only way in which the courts will allow them to adopt the children, is if she agrees too marry Gabe, even if she is not his first choice. However, at the first opportunity Gabe abandons Josie, leaving her broken-hearted. The story is fast paced with a feisty heroine who can out-shoot and out-cuss any man, and a hero who is wearing blinkers. One would have liked to box Gabe’s ears, but fortunately he comes to his senses on his own, almost too late. The story is well written with plenty of action and activity. I received a copy of this book for free as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Didn't even want to give it one star. So badly written, it is staggering. I was actually embarrassed for the author every time I read it. The title is Mail Order Mix-Up, BUT THERE'S NOT EVEN A MAIL ORDER MIX UP IN THE STORY!!!!

A love story not to be missed. Josie Long is a lot different from the typical woman. She takes care of herself and dresses, hunts and fishes like a man. Josie and her mother were part of the mail order brides that had been brought to Seattle to live. Gabe Talbot has never met a woman like Josie but he can't help but be intrigued. They have a strong attraction to each other, but Josie has know a lot of heartache. It seems like every man she has known has abandoned their family, her father included and she is reluctant to settle down. Gabe has watched his brother grieve over his lost wife and he wants to never go through that himself. But when he and Josie find four abandoned orphans, things begin to change. Can they pull together and find happiness? I really enjoyed this story and cheered for these two people who needed each other even though they did not know it themselves. Another wonderful story by Cynthia Woolf.

About the author

Cynthia Woolf is the award winning and best-selling author of more than thirty-three historical western romance books and two short stories with more books on the way.

Cynthia loves writing and reading romance. Her first western romance Tame A Wild Heart, was inspired by the story her mother told her of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch in Creede, Colorado. Although Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede that is the only similarity between the stories. Her father was a cowboy not a bounty hunter and her mother was a nursemaid (called a nanny now) not the ranch owner.

Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband Jim and her great critique partners for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.
