Pavithra Mehta
Pavithra K. Mehta is a writer – filmmaker, in a family of 21 (and still counting) eye surgeons. This might explain her fondness for stoties that help people see. Her award-winning documentory Infinite Vision followed the life and work of Dr.V, who is her granduncle. He once created a nine-item To-Do List for her that she has yet to complete (Item #4 reads:Quality Care For All.) Pavithra is drawn to the space where service and storytelling meet. She started Arvind's story archive in 2002, while freelancing on film and writing projects for nonprofits in India. Later she headed the volunteer program at Benetech, an innovative nonprofit in Silicon Valley, which runs the world's largest digital library of accessible books for peoplr who are blind. She is currently on the boards of the Arvind Eye Foundation and Service Space, an organization rooted in inner change, that designs and runs experiments in generosity. She co-leads its inspiring news portal, Daily Good, as well as its pay-it-forward restaurant, Karma Kitchen, and is working on her next book. Pavithra studied English literature and broadcast journalism. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and travels back to Madurai each year. Rumi, hillsides and other noble friends help her write.
Suchitra Shenoy
Suchitra Shenoy grew up on bedtime stories steeped in science and a vivid moral imagination. The robots were always good. Intermittently, she was whisked to Indian villages. There, the stories were quite different. Not surprisingly, she was draw to work in the social sector. In little over a decade her work has encompassed healt care, housing, education, agriculture and financial services. She is currently working on addressing inclusive finance, as the co-founder of a start-up dedicated to financial services for the poor. As a founding member of the Inclusive Markets team at the Monitor Group, an international consulting firm, she examined market-based solutions to proverty, especially business models that serve the poor as customers and as producers. She is on the advisory board of the Youth 4 Jobs Foundation, which works closely with companies to give impoverished young people the skills they need for meaningful employment. Suchitra enjoys sharing good ideas, especially inspiring ones. She has done so at Deloitte Research, Columbia University Business School, Stanford University's d.school, and the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC). She holds degrees from Brandeis University and the London School of Economics. She is moved by words, music and photography.
पवित्रा मेहता - परिचय
दिग्दर्शक-सिनेनिर्मात्या असणाऱ्या पवित्रा या नात्याने डॉ. व्हींच्या भाचेनात. इंग्रजी साहित्य आणि पत्रकारिता यांचं शिक्षण घेतलेल्या पवित्रा यांनी ‘इन्फायनाइट व्हिजन’ हा डॉ. व्हींच्या आयुष्यावर आधारित माहितीपट तयार केला. त्याला पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाला. भारतातल्या काही सेवाभावी संस्थांसाठी माहितीपट बनवण्यात व्यग्र असलेल्या सिलिकॉन व्हॅलीतल्या बेनिटेक या सेवाभावी संस्थेच्या अंधांसाठी डिजिटल लायब्ररी चालवण्याच्या प्रकल्पाचं नेतृत्व पवित्रा यांनी केलं. सध्या त्या अरविंद आय फाउंडेशन आणि सव्र्हिस स्पेस या संस्थांच्या विश्वस्त मंडळावर आहेत. त्याचबरोबर ‘डेली गुड’ या न्यूज-पोर्टलसाठी आणि त्यांच्या ‘कर्म-किचन’ या खानपानगृहासाठी पवित्रा काम करत असून, नवीन पुस्तकही लिहीत आहेत. अमेरिकेतील बे एरिया इथं आपल्या पतीसोबत स्थायिक असलेल्या पवित्रा दर वर्षी मदुराईला भेट देतात.
सुचित्रा शेणॉय-परिचय
ब्रँडिस विद्यापीठातून आणि लंडन स्कूल ऑफ इकॉनॉमिक्समधून शिक्षण घेतलेल्या सुचित्रा यांना भाषा, संगीत आणि छायाचित्रण यांत विशेष रस आहे. साधारण एक दशकाच्या काळात त्यांनी आरोग्यसेवा, गृहनिर्माण, शिक्षण, शेती, आर्थिक व्यवस्था अशा विविधांगी क्षेत्रांत काम केलं आहे. सर्वसमावेशक आर्थिक व्यवस्थांची उभारणी आणि गरीब लोकांपर्यंत आर्थिक सुविधा पुरवण्याच्या उद्देशानं सुरू करण्यात आलेल्या एका प्रकल्पात त्या सध्या काम करत आहेत. मॉनिटर ग्रुप या आंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थेच्या इन्क्ल्युजिव्ह मार्वेâट्स टीमच्या त्या संस्थापक सदस्य आहेत. गरीब घरांतील युवकांना नोकरीच्या सुसंधीसाठी आवश्यक अशी कौशल्यं आत्मसात करण्याच्या कामी मदत करणाNया ‘यूथ फॉर जॉब फाउंडेशन’च्या सल्लागार मंडळावर सुचित्रा काम करत आहेत. नवनवीन प्रेरणादायक कल्पनांचा प्रसार करण्याचं काम त्यांनी डेल्टॉइट रिसर्च, कोलंबिया विद्यापीठ बिझिनेस स्कूल इ. संस्थांच्या माध्यमातून केलं आहे.

ऋजुता खरे यांनी बायोडायव्हर्सिटी या विषयात एम.एस्सी. पुणे विद्यापीठ येथून केले आहे. त्यांनी भरपूर प्रकारचे अनुवाद व स्वतंत्र लेखन पण केले आहे. त्यांचा भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर वाचनालय, चिपळूण येथील संचालक मंडळात स्वीकृत सदस्य म्हणून, साने गुरुजी राष्ट्रीय स्मारक आणि आंतरभारती अनुवाद सुविधा केंद्र , वडघर (ता. माणगाव) येथील उपक्रमात सक्रिय सहभाग.
