About this ebook

Matthew is a bullied, overweight 13-year-old boy who wants to pass through his Junior High years without trouble. However, Dallas and his friends find great satisfaction in belittling, verbally, and sometimes physically abusing Matthew because he is a quiet kid. Matthew has an intense infatuation with Jonah, Dallas's best friend, and it can only end badly if the torment wasn't enough. Or maybe... all it takes is one person to stand up to a bully.

Note from the author: There are delicate themes in this short. If you are prone to sensitive matters concerning bullying, suicide, and peer pressure, here is your warning.

About the author

D.K. Daniels writes contemporary/realistic fiction with both teen and college-aged characters aimed at an LGBTQ+ audience. His novels often stem from an isolated high-school career and rational outlook on life. For the most part, the stories he writes are about young people finding their way in a noisy world.

When D.K. is not writing, he camps and hikes in many countries across the world, and is a major film and game enthusiast. He spends way too much time listing to Indie Folk, giving his dog belly rubs, and tapping away on an old typewriter in the backyard. His love for storytelling derived from consuming hours and hours of entertainment during the most isolated years of his teenagehood. Hailing from Ireland, D.K.'s hobby is backed by his amazing boyfriend and loving family.
