About the author

Ajantha Dahanayake is an associate professor at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) and a full professor at Georgia College and State University, GA. She gives lectures on information systems engineering-related topics and was the program chair of the information systems and software systems distance education program at the Open University.

Waltraud Gerhardt worked as examinator of patents at Patent Office in Berlin, as scientist at School of Economy in Berlin, later as scientist and assistant professor at the University of Rostock, Department of Computer Science. From 1992 until 2000 she was a professor for Database Systems at Delft University of Technology. In 2000, she founded DELOBIS, a research and development oriented software company. [Editor]
