About the author
Daisaku Ikeda, geb. 1928, ist Präsident der buddhistischen Laienorganisation Soka Gakkai International. Für sein humanitäres Engagement erhielt er 1983 den Friedenspreis der Vereinten Nationen. Michail Gorbatschow, geb. 1931, war von 1985 bis 1991 Generalsekretär des Zentralkomitees der KPdSU und 1990/91 Präsident der Sowjetunion. 1990 erhielt er den Friedensnobelpreis.
