Desperate times call for desperate measures in this suspenseful novel. Seriously damaged in an attack on his team, Cara is called in to take care of Rick with her special gift of healing. She is put to the test when he starts to come out of his coma as he fights her at every opportunity. However, with an unseen enemy planning on obliterating the team, it becomes obvious that they have to work together. There was more suspense holding the plot together rather than action.

Rich with suspense, sweet with emotion and taut with tension, I really enjoyed this book. Rick and Cara inspire boatloads of feels as the well written and engaging story unfolds. Both characters are super easy to care for and like. Their chemistry was undeniable and the story itself keeps you guessing and feeling just the right amount of anxious. I am freely posting a frank review.

Terkel’s team has been attacked and this book is another piece of the puzzle in their search to find out who was behind the attack. The book focuses on the energy used by Terk’s team for their telepathic abilities. Cara used her energy to keep Rick alive while he was in a coma. As Rick wakes from the coma, he has trouble trusting Cara’s energy work as she tries to keep him from doing too much too fast.
