It took me ages to read but is such a great book. My one complaint is the amount of technical and factual aspects to the book, I was more interested in the way the war was playing out than all the little details about 'green spot amuntition', but that's just me (and because I knew most of the weapons and equipment anyway and didn't need them explained) however, non the less a great book.

Real life account of a ruthless battle that saw huge sacrifices from ordinary men who acted extraordinarily when they needed to. Great read with a touch of humour that had me screaming with laughter at times.

Amazing story..Dan Mills takes you on an incredible journey. The men that fought and the battles they fought are amazing. Page after page of action. One of the best books I've read on Iraq. 👍👍🇬🇧

About the author

Dan Mills served for 24 years as an Infantry Soldier reaching the rank of Warrant Officer Class 2. During his long military career he served on operations in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. Dan was awarded a 'Mention In Despatches' for Gallantry for his services during The Iraq War. Since leaving the Army in 2010, he has forged a career as a writer and security consultant, amongst other things. Sniper One is his first book
