About this ebook

WHAT IF MAN’S BEST FRIEND TURNED INTO MAN’S WORST ENEMY?

It’s Stephen King meets Shiloh in this thrilling action-adventure survival story perfect for fans of Gary Paulsen’s Hatchet#1 New York Times bestselling author D.J. MacHales the Sylo Chronicles, and anyone who appreciates the loyal bond between a boy and his dog.

Logan Moore hates everyone. Everyone except Jack. A mangy mutt that nobody wants. Except Logan.

But Jack is in terrible danger. A mysterious disease is sweeping across the country, turning dogs into vicious, raging predators. Jack isn’t infected, but that won’t keep her safe. People are shooting dogs on sight, and asking questions later. Logan’s own parents want to hand Jack over to the authorities.

Now Logan and Jack are on the run. There’s nowhere they can turn and no one they can trust. Except each other.

I read this book when I was just in elementary school and I still remember it to this day. A heart warming story about how a little mutt can be a man's one and only best friend

I recommend this book to Sci-Fi readers. It is about a 14 year old named Logan who hates alot of stuff. After having to adopt a dog as a punishment, he adopts a wild dog who he names Jack. Logan is sent to boot camp and ends up escaping and a fugitive. He finds his long lost Father and together use Jack, the only immune to POS(Psychotic outburst syndrome) infecting dogs all over Oregon, end up going to the University his dad was fired from, and try to do it. The end seemed a bit plain to me.

Logan Moore is your average 14-year-old. Hating everything and anything, including the father that abandoned him and the step-father that treats him like a doormat. But when Logan gets a dog his life is turned around. Jack was wild and the vets were surprised when she didn’t attack Logan. Logan sees Jack as a life long companion. Everything’s going great until Logan blows up a microwave to stop an attacking dog. The owner doesn’t press charges but his parents make a final decision to send him to the Blue Mountain Camp for Boys, without Jack. Logan escapes from the camp and Jack breaks out of the house. Now they meet up and are both in the wilderness and Logan has to keep them both alive. Top it all off, there’s a dog disease that has wiped out all the dogs in Oregon but Jack. Jack isn’t infected but everyone thinks she is and they’re out to get her. Logan forgets about himself and knows he has to save Jack. She’s already injured from running so, so, so far a distance. Will Logan find a way to save Jack? Read to find out. I recommend this book to people who like to predict what will happen next in books but you HAVE to be able to handle curveballs and you NEED to know how to handle sadness.
