His assassin, a blue-collar Democrat who often voted with Milk in support of gay issues, is remembered as a right-winger and a homophobe.

A detailed and needed look at an era with frightening parallels to today. Dispenses with the myths built to deflect embarrassment from powerful enablers to show the cynical will to power that cared nothing for the proles except as useful, and easily disposable tools. Unfortunately the same thing is recurring. Even worse some of the same players are still at work.
