About this ebook

From the New York Times bestselling author of Cirque Du Freak comes a chilling new series about one teen’s terrifying journey to the depths of darkness.

Grubbs Grady has stiff red hair and is a little big for his age, which means he can get into R-rated movies. He hates history and loves bacon, rats, and playing tricks on his squeamish older sister. And he’s about to learn three mind-blowing things:
  1. The world is vicious.
  2. Magic is possible.
  3. Demons are real.
When Grady opts out of a family weekend trip, he never guesses that he’s about to head on his own adventure—one that’s horrify and dangerous. Hungry demons and howling werewolves haunt his waking nightmares... and threaten his life.

I read these books in high school and I was delighted by the fact that I could purchase them for my Android phone. I, personally, believe that this series is MUCH better than Shan's Vampire Assistant books. They seem... more evolved. There is a lot more blood and gore, and even the flow suggests it may be for an older audience (I would say 16+). Love these books.

I read this series back in highschool and everything from the writing style, to the characters, to the storyline are all unique, original, and perfect. I remember never being able to stop reading them until I was finished and the imagery always exceeded my expectations. If you love adventure and horror with side doses of "feels" I highly recommend these.

This is actually one of my favorite books. It has a perfect amount of inner-character conflict and twist among the antagonists. The display of darkness and conflict is perfect for young adults and adults alike. Darren Shan, you never let me down! :)
