Gerardo Bartolomé meticulously studied the actions of dozens of characters in those memorable pages in the history of Patagonian exploration, achieving a scenario in which what is not proven historical truth is, at least, completely possible of having occured.
About the author
Gerardo Bartolomé was born in Buenos Aires, where he graduated as a Civil Engineer at the University of Buenos Aires. Always attracted by history and nature, in 2003 he led an expedition down the Santa Cruz River following Darwin's footprints. This trip led him to write the story of the days that the English Naturalist spent in Patagonia. Thus, in 2005, his first historical novel was born: Darwin's Betrayal. Encouraged by Félix Luna (a famous Argentinian Historian), he continued writing about the history of Argentina. More recently, he also participated in documentaries about the historical characters of his books.
