Dr. P. S. Aithal, founding and former Vice Chancellor of Srinivas University, Mangalore, Karnataka State and presently serving as Senior Professor and Advisor of Srinivas University for Research and Development. Dr. P. S. Aithal has 32 years of experience in Teaching & Research and 20 years of experience in Administration. Having four Master degrees in Physics with Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, and EBusiness, he got his first Ph.D. degree in Physics from Mangalore University in the area of nonlinear optical materials and a second Ph.D. degree in Business Management from Manipal University, Manipal, in the area of mobile banking. He worked as Post Doctoral Research Fellow at “The Lasers & Quantum Optics Division, Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, for two years from 1999-2000. In the year 2002, he was selected for the prestigious Oversee Fellowship of Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India – Better Opportunity for Young Scientists in Chosen Area of Science & Technology (BOYSCAST) Fellowship. He did Post Doctorial Research at Centre for Research & Education in Optics & Lasers (CREOL), at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, U.S.A. Dr. Aithal has earned D.Sc. in Technology Management in the year 2021 from Srinivas University, India. He has more than 900 research publications in refereed International Journals in the areas of Nonlinear Optics, Photonics, Nanotechnology, Business Management, Higher Education, Information Technology, and Technology Management and has published 55 Books and edited books. Dr. P. Sreeramana Aithal currently holds SECOND Rank among the Top 30,000 Research authors worldwide and had FIRST Rank among the Top 12,000 Business Management Authors worldwide in Elsevier’s SSRN Research network, USA, in terms of the total number of open access scholarly papers in their network. Dr. P. S. Aithal has initiated many innovations and best practices in the higher education system.
