I find that this book works well in introducing new readers to the novels Canon. All your favorites from the show are represented here including a few surprises. My main gripe with the novel is that there's not enough conflict, only a third of the novel has an antagonist. I suppose that could be the true message of Star trek, simply overcoming obsticles.

Classic trek story, excellent knowledge of the crews. This guy knows his star trek.
