The story of Deadbeat Dad is by far the most complex of the Lily Rock Mysteries. The story explores family dynamics from a multitude of perspectives. Family dynamics and history can be a sensitive topic, but the author handles these perplexing and unusual familial dynamics with compassion, understanding, and a touch of gentle humor. The details of the town and the characters add a layer of richness to the story that makes it easy for the reader to become immersed in Lily Rock.
