About this ebook

Veteran Keeper’s operative, Mercy Wyatt knows all too well, where there’s smoke... there’s fire. When a mysterious woman shows up on his ranch with a child at her side, he’s thrown into a deadly pursuit for justice.

The secrets in Sarah’s eyes aren’t near as telling as the bruises and scars marring her skin. It’s evident she’s hiding something, and Mercy needs answers to expose the dark truth she escaped.

His instincts lead him on a wild chase that uncovers a sinister organization ran by the world’s most powerful and influential— that trades people like commodities and commits the unimaginable.

After everything she’s endured, Mercy refuses to allow Sarah to fight her hunters alone. But it’s hard to protect a woman on the run, especially when she’s wanted...

For murder.

Just when you think this pulse pounding series can’t take you any deeper or darker into conspiracies and corruption, think again.

4.5 stars Mercy Wyatt is home on his family’s ranch at Christmas when he discovers a vehicle on fire. He tries to put the fire out and discovers ‘Sarah Jones’ and her daughter, Glory, who just escaped from the car. Mercy is pretty sure the name is a false one, and he knows that Sarah is hiding something, but he still feels very protective of her and Glory. They are both drawn to each other, and spend some time getting to know each other during the Christmas holiday season. Mercy discovers that Sarah is indeed hiding things. Unfortunately, she leaves the ranch before he finds out all the details. When he finally decides to go after her, he is almost too late. It turns out there’s a bounty on her head, and she’s been framed for a murder she didn’t commit. However, it’s much bigger than that, and the Keepers have a big job ahead of them. The tension in this book starts up a little slow, and then it builds and builds. These characters are so likable and they’re both so broken, and it is a joy to watch them develop and grow and get stronger. There’s a strong sense of community in this book, which is something that Sarah, now named Gray, needs. Mercy is a swoon-worthy hero, and Gray is a survivor and a heroine. The pacing stays pretty tight throughout this whole book. This is definitely an exciting and worthwhile read if you’re at all interested in the Keepers series! This is book three in The Keeper's Series and it is Mercy and Sarah's (Gray's) story and omg this is so emotional. When Mercy sees a fire on his ranch he goes to see what is happening only to find a car on fire and a woman and child standing there but something wasn't quite right about the situation but his instant attraction to the woman was not good as it just complicated everything. The more time Mercy and Sarah spent together the stronger his feeling grew and even though he knew that she was in trouble and had been through something horrific by the condition of her he knew that he would be there for them both and help her but then she just disappeared taking part of his heart with her but he knew that he had to find them because they were in danger. There are many twists and turns along the way but you could feel all the physical and emotional pain that Sarah had been through as if you were there with her and going through everything yourself. I couldn't put this book down as it was a absolutely amazing story that got you hooked right from the first page until the last and it was so addictive. Stephanie St Klaire is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of your seat. About the author

Stephanie St. Klaire is a Pacific Northwest native currently living in Portland, Oregon with her husband, five children, and two ferocious lap dogs that are used to the finer things in life like sleeping all day. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found with a plate full of taco’s, a side of bean dip, and probably some gummy bears while being a little bit hippy and a lot bit busy mom’ing and wife’ing.

When she’s not tossing around gritty crime show inspired serial killers and diabolical bad guys, she likes to make people pee their pants a little with a good romcom. Sometimes, her worlds collide, and she writes really funny stuff right before she kills people off on the pages! She loves murder and mayhem as much as a good laugh and HEA! That’s why she’s a die-hard Hallmark junky but loves her gritty crime shows – balance!

Stephanie has always been a storyteller, with the gift of “gab”, and a life-long goal to be a writer. Unfortunate circumstances with her health, finally afforded her the time to do so. Irony at its best, she began writing her first novel at an adverse time, to escape her circumstance and explore the stories in her imagination for relief. She is happy to share those stories with her readers, and bring a little fun, entertainment, and of course smexy characters to the pages.
