Ever since being banished to the small town of Christmas, Colorado, by her conniving ex and his new love, Charlotte Bailey has wanted nothing more than to leave. Oh, sure, the town is lovely, and the people are great, but being the chief of staff of the small local hospital can't hold a candle to the life she left behind in New York. It's been a year, and Charlotte is more than ready to head back to the big city, and her promised job, but that darned ex is still up to no good, leaving her right where she doesn't want to be. But the residents of Christmas have a few tricks up their sleeves to keep Charlotte where she's most needed, and save their hospital at the same time. I love a small-town romance, and, when it's a holiday read to boot, color me happy. I've visited the lovely town of Christmas, CO, before, and really enjoyed it. Author Debbie Mason has created a place that is warm and inviting, with characters that are charming, quaint, and sometimes a little zany, and it's a lot of fun to spend time there. The spirit of Christmas gets me every time, and Charlotte doesn't stand a chance when the citizens of her adopted town call in the big guns to convince her to stay, and to keep their hospital up and running. There's romance, there's intrigue, and there's plenty of holiday magic to keep things lively, romantic, and heartwarming. This little read was extremely enjoyable, and an easy 4 stars for me. I'm happy to add it to my list of holiday reads, and recommend it for fans of small-town romances or anyone looking for a feel-good holiday read.

Nicole's Book Musings
4.5 Stars For me a fan of this series this holiday novella hit the spot. It's a fast enjoyable read. We get to revisit previous characters from the series which I just love! The humor and the feels are in this one just as it was in previous books. The humor is what I look forward to. I can say that I want to bop Charlotte's ex. Nasty piece of work he is. I liked the holiday magic that was working in this one. It did result in a book hangover because I started late and I just couldn't put it down.
