About this ebook

"Wilde combines hardboiled noir and Jewish folklore in this action-packed, perfectly paced paranormal romp… This giddy, sexy series launch is a delight.” - Publishers Weekly (starred review)

Missing teens. Impossible magic. And the sexy nemesis who might drive her to murder.

Ashira Cohen takes great pride in the detective agency she’s built from scratch. It may be small, but she has big dreams.

None of which involve a stakeout gone wrong.

Or finding a mysterious tattoo hidden on her scalp.

Or discovering it’s a now-broken ward intended to suppress dangerous supernatural powers that she should not possess.

Don’t even get her started on the golem.

The only bright spot is that her unruly powers nearly kill her long-time nemesis, Levi, the uptight leader of the magic community. No, right… that’s a bad thing.

One word from him revealing her forbidden abilities, and everything she’s built will be taken from her… by force. Definitely bad.

Except, it seems Levi requires her unique set of skills to solve a spree of abductions. After years of being underestimated by him, it’s Ash’s chance at payback and she’s going to enjoy bringing him to his knees—or stuffing him in a body bag.

But with a sinister organization pulling strings from the shadows, can she rescue the captives and uncover the truth, or will the next blood spilled be her own?

If you like KF Breene, Annabel Chase, and Heather G Harris, you’ll burn through this clever, fast-paced series!

I love the way this author weaves a tale a mystery and characters to were you hate or love them. She also adds the topics that might have you question why some did what they did. Its a wonderful read and I have enjoyed all that she writes.

I first found Deborah Wilde through her Unlikeable Demon Hunter series and was incredibly excited to find out about her new series when TUDH wrapped up. Let’s just say that Blood and Ash did not disappoint. Not even remotely. Wilde has a true gift for creating strong female leads who combine vulnerability, strength, and snark into an unstoppable force. Blood and Ash was a fantastic introduction into a new series with fabulous character development. One of my favorite parts about Wilde’s books is that her characters span several different ethnic backgrounds and there is always a strong cultural theme that adds incredible depth to the story. If you like strong females, snark, culture, non-stop action, and amazing relationship dynamics with friends, enemies, look no further, Blood and Ash has it all!

About the author

A global wanderer, former screenwriter, and total cynic with a broken edit button, Deborah Wilde writes funny urban fantasy and paranormal women’s fiction.

Her stories feature sassy women who kick butt, strong female friendships, and swoony, sexy romance. She’s all about the happily ever after, with a huge dose of hilarity along the way.
