About this ebook

What happens when a tenacious sheriff takes on a determined cowgirl and her champion bull?

It’s never easy to make it in a man’s world, and cowgirl Tori Tremayne has chased the same dream most of her life—producing a champion bucking bull on the pro rodeo circuit. With her prize bull Maximus, she’s so close to winning top prize in the finals this year she can taste it. She can’t afford any distractions, especially not the tall, dark and swoony sheriff she’s admired all her life.

Sheriff Gray Dalton has been in love with Tori since they were kids. He doesn’t want to change Tori or derail her goals, but he does want to combine their dreams—build a life and family with her while she continues to pursue her career and passion. Gray knows he has to shake Tori up so that he can step out of the friend zone she’s so determined to keep him in.

Can Gray prove to Tori that with him she can have it all—career, love and a family?

The Sheriff and the Cowgirl by Debra Holt, book four in The Tremaynes of Texas series, tells the story of the youngest and only girl of the Tremayne children, Tori, and her long-time relationship/friendship with Gray. It’s never easy to succeed in a man’s world, and cowgirl Tori Tremayne has chased the same dream most of her life; producing a champion bucking bull on the pro rodeo circuit. With her prize bull Maximus, she’s so close to winning top prize in the finals this year she can taste it. She won’t allow any distractions from attaining her dream; especially not the tall, dark and handsome sheriff she’s admired all her life, Gray. Sheriff Gray Dalton has been in love with Tori since they were kids; 7 and 9 year olds. As they got older, their friendship deepened and though many considered them a couple, they never got to that point. Nowadays, it seems Tori has been taking Gray for granted. Her focus only on her rodeo stock succeeding and traveling most of the year away from home. Gray doesn’t want to change Tori or interfere with her goals, but he does want to combine their dreams; build a life and family together while she continues to pursue her career and passion. Gray knows he has to shake Tori up so that he can step out of the friend zone she’s been so determined to keep him in. Now Gray has to prove to Tori that she can have it all: career, love and a family with him. Ms. Holt wrote a sweet, heartwarming romance about family, career goals, and realizing that life is more about the people that surround you than a prize. That finding balance in life takes effort, one worth making. I highly recommend The Sheriff and the Cowgirl to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

We are back in Texas with the Treymayne siblings, their aunt, and that very special man, Sheriff Gray Dalton. Tori, the youngest and the last of siblings that is still single, and Gray, have been friends since they were 7 and 9 year olds. As they got older, their friendship deepened and though many considered them a couple, they never got to that point. Nowadays, it seems Tori has been taking Gray for granted. Her eye is on having her rodeo stock succeed and traveling most of the year away from home. As Gray sees Tori’s sole focus on her career, he realizes that she might never want more. He wants a partner and a family and to get that wish, he might need to let go of his hope and love for Tori. This was a story about family, career goals, and realizing that life is more about the people that surround you than a prize. That finding balance in life takes effort, one worth making. I was sorry to say good-bye to the series and hope that in future ones, the characters we have come to love , make an occasional appearance. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing . The opinions expressed are solely my own.
