This is really important to discuss in the current climate. Too much misinformation being spread as well as hate for voicing concerns over trans issues. We all need to understand the facts. Thank you Dr Debra Soh!

I've read books similar in content like "The Abolition of Sex" by Kara Dansky and although Dansky's book was good and I learnt a lot there was definitely a feminist ideological foundation to it. This book didn't have that ideologically based underpinning and you can tell Soh tried to write it from as much of an indifferent perspective as she could and simply laid out the relevant facts and information. I also like how it relied on hard sciences like biology and neurology to bolster the points it made. I read this book because a DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity) council is in its beggining stages of formation at my work place and I want to be ready with a based counter argument when the inedible "diversity" training comes and their ideology is forced onto me. I can say I feel a lot more confident engaging in discourse against them if need be after reading this, thank you Debra!!

Thank you for writing this book. It is a well written discussion around the science of gender, with the facts that I wanted to know but didn't know where to find. I will feel a lot more comfortable when discussions around this topic come up.

Dr. Debra Soh is a neuroscientist who specializes in gender, sex, and sexual orientation. She received her doctorate from York University in Toronto and worked as an academic researcher for eleven years. Her writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail (Toronto), Harper’s Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, Scientific American, Playboy, Quillette, and many other publications. Her research has been published in academic journals including the Archives of Sexual Behavior and Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. As a journalist, Soh writes about the science and politics of human sexuality and gender, free speech, and censorship in academia. She lives in Toronto.
