This was a fast pact story, that you get to know the two-main character right way. Madison Goode, she works for the state department as a liaison for an art museum. She is also the attaché between China and Vietnam, whom she is helping to put together a new exhibit of Ancient Chinese Art. Sam Bellemere, is a software developer, whom just happen to be a genius at what he does. He also is the head security of the company that he and his best friend built together. Fast ward to the present. Madison, sent an email and left message for Sam to call her right away. Because she needed his help. Sam got her message and he shows up at the museum. Not knowing what laid ahead for him. Madison, she proceeds to let Sam know that someone has or is hacking into the museum security system, and that she needed his help. Sam is surprise that he is already on the reception list as Madison, husband. Sam figure that there must be a good explanation. Sam plays along not knowing what he is getting himself into. But she is a friend why not help her any way that he can. If you are looking for a romantic suspense, then you will enjoy reading this. As I was turning the pages I felt this was such an intriguing story, that I couldn’t wait to see how it all end. I wanted to know who and why this was happening to Madison. Sam, and Madison realize that she is the one being set up. As you are going on this advantage you get to know that there is more to these two people than meet the eye. Debra Webb, Regan Black are back at it again. When these two women get together you know that you are going to get a story. Debra Webb and Regan Black, keeps on surprising me with each book that they write together.

When a hacker threatens the security at an the art museum reception, Madison calls the one person she knows she can count on for help, techno whiz Sam Bellemere. When Sam arrives at the museum he is surprised to see himself listed as Madison's husband on the guest list but plays the role perfectly as he realizes that the attack is aimed at Madison herself. These two work together flawlessly to stop the attack and soon discover that a real relationship just might be possible, as long as they can survive! Fast paced and character driven, this romantic suspense has it all.

Is it a threat from American radicals fearing too much Chinese presence? On the spur of the moment, Madison calls the man most likely to handle what could turn into a serious international incident: Sam Bellemere. Madison helped him in the past, and he owes her one. Sam is an old high school friend, but also a developer of proprietary encryption technology, and he rushes to give Madison a hand. What an excellent story! We’re right in the thick of things from page one and the authors’ impressive knowledge of cyber technology make MARRIAGE CONFIDENTIAL a riveting read. The crisp descriptions paint sharp pictures, and I felt I was watching a movie! The authors didn’t waste time with needless repetitions, and the technological details made the story realistic, without slowing down the narrative. Madison is a confident young woman, a people-person, while Sam is so painfully socially awkward, life almost passes him by in spite of his genius and wealth. Both characters are so skilfully portrayed that they came off as real people, and not caricatures. Sam is stunned that he is on the guest list as Madison’s husband, and I thought Madison’s reason for doing so was really clever; I also loved the explanations as to why they never dated in high school. It was really nice to see this sort of situation done in a believable manner, and that Sam didn’t morph into Superman nor did Madison slip into damsel in distress mode; while their areas of expertise are different, they acted as equal participants in the story, they remained true to themselves, and they had great backstories as well. The romance was just perfect and nicely woven into this exciting story, and all the loose ends tie up nicely in a great ending. MARRIAGE CONFIDENTIAL is great cyber thriller with a believable romance; the writing is efficient but still retains a quiet elegance, very much like our protagonists, Sam and Madison. MARRIAGE CONFIDENTIAL reads like a dream: brisk, captivating, modern, and realistic all the way! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
