Let me start by saying that I have every single one of the Tracers series either on my keeper shelf or on my kindle. This series has it all ... great suspense, mystery, romance, spice, lots of forensics, serial killers, FBI, local law enforcement, exceptionally well-written stories. One of these days I'm going to start at the beginning again. Laney Knox is a hacker of the good kind in the Delphi Center's Cyber Investigation Unit. She likes digging into the dark corners of the internet looking for predators. But when a young woman is brutally murdered, she feels a need to get involved. This particular murder is highly reminiscent of when she herself was assaulted a few years ago. Detective Reed Novac can't decide whether Laney is a help or a hindrance. He suspects she knows much more than she's telling ... and he's right. Fifteen years younger than Novac, Laney doesn't need another daddy .. she's strong-willed, smart, and sassy. Novac wants her trust, but she's not one to trust easily. I really enjoy how the characters interact with each other... and not just the main protagonists. It's a well rounded circle of secondary characters and I always have in the back of my mind that I'd like them to have their own stories .. their own books. For anyone who enjoys Romantic Suspense, with an emphasis on suspense, I would highly recommend this series. It's an easy 5 stars for me. Many thanks to the author / Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books / NetGalley who provided a digital copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

When a girl is murdered, Laney Knox, a white-hat hacker in the Delphi Center’s cyber investigation unit, just can't stay away from the case, the attack to close to the one she herself survived years ago. Detective Reed Novak is reluctant to accept Laney's help as she inserts herself into his investigation but finds himself drawn to her even though he fights the attraction. Together they work to find a killer before he strikes again! This series just keeps getting better and Deep Dark to me is a home run! Starting with complex and endearing characters, characters you want to get to know, add a story line that is fast paced and intense and what's not to love? Great job Laura Griffin!

Laura Griffin, has written another book in the series Tracer. Deep Dark, is her latest one. You get to meet Laney Knox, who worked for the Delphi Center Cyber Investigation Unit. Novak Reed, is a homicide detective for the Austin Police Department. Laney Knox, worked for the Delphi Center Cyber investigation unit, the job that she did was consider a hacker or white-hat. Her job was to digging into some of the dark corners of the internet looking for predators. But when a young woman is brutally murdered, it brings back the attack that had happen to her their years ago. But this murder has some very similarities of the attack that she went through and was able to escape from. Laney, has involved herself in Novak case because she feels that she can be of help to solve this case with Novak. Novak Reed, is a homicide detective with the Austin Police Department. We meet Novak at a crime scene with a young woman who has been murdered in her home without any sign of forced entry. Novak, has a feeling that this isn’t the killer’s first victim. Laney, keep digging more into Novak, case which he has told her that he wanted her to stay off of this case. Laney is a very head strong, and independent young woman. Who keep pushes against authority, she very smart with computers, but she doesn’t’ t know how to interacted with people. From the very first page Laura, pull you right in to this story. She has you trying to figure out just who is the killer and why. She loves keeping you on the edge of your seat all the way until the last page. If you like books that has suspense, mystery, romance, and lots of forensics like CSI. than this is a book for you.
