Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Malik and Lindsay) WILD THOUGHTS follows the fake fiancé relationship between thirty-one year old, metal artist Malik Brooks, and thirty-two year old, podcaster Lindsay Winthrop. Lindsay Winthrop offers advise on dating and sex but our heroine has lied about her current relationship to the people in charge. When Lindsay is asked to help promote a piece of artwork for a man she believes rejected her previous advances, Lindsay wants to even the score-offering to help promote Malik’s work but in return Malik pretends to be her loving fiancé. What ensues is the building relationship between Malik and Lindsay, and the potential fall-out as Lindsay’s past is about to destroy Malik’s heart. The relationship between Lindsay and Malik is an enemies to lovers, of a sorts: a fake relationship in which Malik forgoes his three year vow of celibacy in exchange for something that is about to become real. Lindsay is desperate to hide the fact she has lied about her love life to millions of listeners including the people in charge. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The colorful secondary and supporting characters including Malik’s sisters Ella Brooks and her new husband Tyrone Evers (Do Over 2), Uncle Brooks and his wife Sylvie Johnson, as well as cousins Stephan and Reese, and Lindsay’s sister Nina, and their mother Gloria Winthrop. WILD THOUGHTS is a story of secrets and lies; heart break and passion; family and love. The premise is entertaining; the romance is sexy and hot; the characters are colorful, energetic and fun.
