What a great start to a new dragon shifter romance series! Falkor Is the alpha for the Winged Warriors, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life. When he meets Kessily in an event their chemistry sizzles to a feverish heat. What was suppose to be one night of yumminess becomes more when she finds herself with a gift. This was an enjoyable and steamy dragon shifter romance that didn’t disappoint. I love all the mystery that surrounds the warriors and I can’t wait for more!

Phantom Fire is a paranormal romance novel by Delta James. It tells the story of Kessily Campbell, a rising star environmental lawyer, who meets Falkor, a dragon shifter, at a conference. The two of them have a passionate one-night stand, but Kessily is not looking for a relationship. However, she soon discovers that she is pregnant with Falkor's child. Kessily and Falkor must decide whether to pursue their relationship, even though it means making big sacrifices. They also have to deal with the threat of a mining company that is trying to destroy the Wind River Mountains. Phantom Fire is a well-written and suspenseful novel. The characters are well-developed and the plot is engaging. The romance between Kessily and Falkor is hot and steamy, but it is also heartwarming and tender. The book also explores the themes of love, loss, and sacrifice. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Surprise baby isn't usually my thing, but Ms. James is so I had to read this one. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and I believe it was because of Kessily. I loved her and her strength. There were points in the story where I wanted to smack Falkor, but he redeemed himself in the end.
