Great characters, great story, scary realistic. Whomever gets out there and brings back the first batch of resources will change the world forever. I can only hope its a group as honorable and brave as the crew of the Konstantin. I am also getting pretty sick of hearing how we're setting up civilization on Mars. If it motivates people to do good deeds then fine. But it will never, can never be like the Earth we're evolved for. Once we start harvesting resources out there we can create any type of habitat we choose. Mars is a poisonous, deadly and likely dead hellhole. Launch every nuke on Earth and Earth will still be a million times more habitable then even the best assuptions on Mars. But Elon! Yeah I know, just read this book. Wont surprise me at all if this isn't something like his real agenda. We dont have cities in Antarctica for a number of reasons but at least Antarctica has air, mild temps compared to Mars, soil thats not a cancer causing poison. Mars colonies are just dumb.

although the story is amazing, and as always suarez deliver an action packed book, this story seems quite rush with a lot of blanks , over simplifications , and naiveness in many many places. timelines are scatter and clumsy, pushing too many limits to make it credible even as science fiction. I read and listen every book of Daniel Suarez, this is the first one that i got this impression. like a story that was rushed too soon by editors. would love to read or see the "notes" and sub stories that were cut out . The entire storyline could fill two books but then seems compressed badly into one. I still love the characters though. :)

This book feels like Elon Musk wrote it. I hope I never have to use that statement again in my life
