4 stars — This book was filled with lots of misunderstandings from not communicating, but for once I felt like that all came from a reasonable place on both ends. It had all built up from the experiences of EVERYONE (human and fey alike) since the earthquakes. Fey had been given so many different pieces of advice to keep their hearts safe from being taken advantage of. And the rumours that had spread to Tenacity had done the whole situation a bit of an injustice, so that Apryl didn’t know wha

I absolutely adored Scath’s POV in this book. Sometimes it’s good to have a bit of mystery but I definitely relish reading a book from a man’s perspective. Especially when they frequently hide their true feelings to prevent women from running away. Seeing how Scath cared for Apryl and assured her at every turn that he loved taking care of her, just cemented how loving and caring the fey truly are. I’ll be sad to see the story end but I can’t wait to hear the happy endings that everyone gets.

This book had me laughing then hot and bothered lol. I honestly love how sweet scath was and how bold apryl was. I loved the ending of this book too, i will not spoil anything, I'll just say i was waiting for this moment since we met one of our other heroine. Now I would recommend this book to my friends and family who especially love sweet and caring men with some spice. This is truly a sweet story in a apocalyptic world, and humanity trying to survive yet life isn't always on just survival mode, feelings and emotions are still very much our human nature. So im a sucker for love in the most unexpected placed, and this is that. I can't wait for the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
