This is the first book in a new series and I enjoyed it very much. There were a lot of shocking revelations that came to light. Totally did not expect that ending. Harper Adams has moved back home after quitting her job as a police officer in Little Rock , Ar. A little girl goes missing and it has similarities to her sister’s kidnapping. She runs into roadblocks every step of the way trying to help. To me it seemed like 90 % of the people in her hometown were total jerks. I felt it had a slow

If you’re an OG Rose Gardener fan then you might’ve been like me and got a little nervous to hear about the return of the infamous James Malcom. This book started out with tough criticism and high expectations from me, being a huge Skeeter fan. With that being said, WELL DONE! I’ve missed James and I am looking forward to seeing more of him. As always Denise knocks it out of the park with another FMC. Harper is unlike any character she’s written and I really like her!

Ah-Mazing! Denise is seriously the best author. She pulls you in and doesn't let you go till the last sentence. The fact that she brought James Skeeter Malcom back was just top notch, Harper was written so well I want to he her friend. I think we could solve some mysteries together ❤️ anyway top notch.
