The lists that comprise the body of this book are presented in three groups. In one alphabetical list appear the names of persons granted letters of denization who removed to or resided in New York. The list of persons naturalized is likewise arranged in alphabetical order. A third, indexed section is devoted to oaths of allegiance. The index contains those named in the third section and others named incidentally throughout the text.
