About the author

Hedwig Munck wurde 1955 in Kroatien geboren und ist in Baden-Württemberg aufgewachsen. Nach dem Abitur studierte sie Lehramt für Kunst und Mathematik in Reutlingen, später Visuelle Kommunikation an der Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Seit 1981 produziert sie zusammen mit ihrem Mann viele Trickfilme für das Kinderfernsehen. Ab 1998 ist das insbesondere die Reihe "Der kleine König", die regelmäßig im "Sandmännchen" zu sehen ist. Zu dieser Figur gibt es neben Kinderbüchern, Hörspielen und andern Sachen nun auch eine animierte app mit Filmen und Geschichten: "Der kleine König wünscht gute Nacht".
