This comic strip was well worth the read. It was exciting for the time frame in which it was written, I suppose! However, considering what we know about Batman these days, it is rather boring and the art work is good (also considering the era), but compared to now it is awful! Although, if you are a DC comics fan or a Batman fan I do highly recommend this read, it is worth it! I enjoyed it!! I really did!

When getting this I expected to have more than just ONE comic strip, seeing by the title (1937- 2011). This comic is 8 pages long, with the words written and NOT typed, seeing how it was actually made in 1939 and not --37. It is the very firest Batman comic and is too short to be at least 4 stars. However it was free, and free is better then nothing, but if you like reading the old Detective Comics, I sudjest you buy the collectors addition instead of buying it digitally. Unless you find it easier, than atually collecting them

Worth taking the short time to read but wow does this look bad. If you tried to get this published today nobody would print it. Everything is very rough and simple here. Bruce Wayne wears a strange robe-suit thing and The "Bat-Man" kills two people in six pages. Let this be an inspiration to any aspiring comic artists that you can start your idea in a very rough state and bring it a long ways as the years go by if you keep working at it.
